At Kitchen Trade™, we aim to get your order to you safely and as efficiently as possible. This Shipping Policy explains how we handle delivery, lead times, courier arrangements, collections, and freight for orders placed through www.kitchentrade.co.za.

Kitchen Trade™ is a division of SilverCloud Trading (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2021/872182/07), a registered South African company operating an online retail business specializing in commercial catering equipment, hospitality supplies, and related products.

Where We Deliver

We deliver throughout South Africa, including major cities, towns, and selected outlying areas.

Delivery is available to areas including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, and other regional locations.

For rural, remote, or outlying areas, delivery may take longer and additional courier or freight charges may apply. Where required, we may contact you before dispatch to confirm delivery arrangements or revised costs.

Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery timeframes depend on product availability, supplier stock, order size, delivery destination, and courier capacity.

For in-stock items, we aim to process and dispatch orders within 2–3 business days after payment confirmation.

Estimated delivery after dispatch is generally:

  • Main city centres: 2–3 business days.
  • Regional and outlying areas: 3–7 business days.
  • Large, bulky, or freight items: lead times may vary depending on route and handling requirements.

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to supplier stock availability, courier delays, public holidays, remote locations, weather conditions, or other circumstances outside our control.

Backorders and Out-of-Stock Items

If an item is unavailable, on backorder, or subject to a longer lead time, we will contact you within 24–48 business hours where possible to confirm the estimated availability date or offer a suitable alternative.

If the revised lead time is not acceptable, you may request a cancellation and refund before the item is dispatched.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on delivery location, product size, order weight, and courier or freight requirements.

Heavy, bulky, fragile, or large commercial equipment may carry additional handling, pallet, or freight charges. Where applicable, these charges will be displayed at checkout or confirmed with you before dispatch.

Any free shipping offers, where available, will be clearly displayed on the website or relevant product pages and may be subject to specific terms, locations, or product exclusions.

Order Processing and Dispatch

Orders are processed during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays.

Orders placed after 13:00, over weekends, or on public holidays will generally be processed on the next business day.

Once your order has been packed and handed to the courier or freight partner, tracking details will be emailed to you where available.

Commercial Equipment and Pallet Deliveries

Some larger catering appliances, refrigeration units, ovens, mixers, and commercial equipment may be delivered on pallets or via freight carriers.

For these deliveries:

  • Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive the goods.
  • Please ensure the delivery address is accessible for courier or freight vehicles.
  • Customers may be required to assist with offloading where specialised lifting equipment is not available.
  • Please inform us in advance of access restrictions such as stairs, narrow entrances, security estates, loading bays, or freight lift requirements.

Unless specifically agreed in writing, delivery does not include installation, unpacking, positioning, or removal of packaging.

Delivery Partners

We use trusted courier and freight partners, which may include national couriers, regional carriers, supplier delivery networks, or manufacturer-arranged deliveries.

The delivery partner selected will depend on the product type, delivery area, order size, and fulfilment location.

Missed Deliveries and Re-Delivery Fees

Please ensure that your delivery address, contact number, and delivery instructions are accurate when placing your order.

If no one is available to receive the order, or if the courier cannot complete delivery due to incorrect information or access restrictions, a re-delivery fee may apply.

Any additional delivery charges caused by missed delivery attempts, incorrect addresses, or failed delivery access may be for the customer’s account.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, we will provide tracking details by email where available.

You may use the courier’s tracking platform to monitor your delivery. If your order is delayed or you need assistance, please contact us at info@kitchentrade.co.za.

Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Deliveries

Please inspect your order as soon as it is delivered.

If your parcel or product arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete, or incorrect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

To assist us in resolving the matter quickly, please provide:

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Clear photographs of the product.
  • Clear photographs of the packaging and courier label where applicable.

We will investigate the matter and work with you to provide an appropriate resolution in line with our Refund & Returns Policy.

Collection and Pickup Orders

Collection may be available on selected orders where confirmed by Kitchen Trade™.

Pickup availability depends on the product, stock location, supplier arrangements, and fulfilment method.

If collection is available, this will either be shown during checkout or confirmed with you after your order is placed.

Please note that Kitchen Trade™ operates as an online retail business. Public walk-ins, showroom browsing, and unarranged collections are not available.

All collections must be arranged and confirmed in advance.

Sales by Appointment Only

Kitchen Trade™ does not operate a public walk-in retail store. Product consultations, collections, or sales meetings are available strictly by prior appointment only.
